Mile Bluff Medical Center is a nonprofit organization consisting of a 40-bed acute care facility, two 60-bed nursing homes, a 12-bed Community Based Residential Facility specializing in Alzheimer’s/dementia care, a retirement community and three outreach clinics.  The medical center’s hub, Hess Memorial Hospital, is the only hospital in Juneau County and. provides services to all patients regardless of race, color, national origin, religion or insured status. 

 Twenty-six physicians (including 3 surgeons, 2 podiatrists, 3 gynecologists and a pathologist), 18 physician assistants (including 4 surgical PA,s) and 3 nurse practitioners practice at the medical center. The center also provides specialty care on site bringing medical specialists from the Marshfield Clinic, Gundersen Lutheran in LaCrosse and UW Health, Meriter and Wisconsin Heart in Madison to the area for regular consulting visits.  Within the last year we have increased the number of specialists from 48 to 62 representing 21 medical fields.
