Expecting mothers can rest assured knowing that our team of maternity care providers will be there throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and after delivery.

Mile Bluff provides a three-week or full-day education program for expecting parents. During the classes parents learn how to prepare for childbirth what to expect during delivery, how to care for a new born, and what to expect after returning home. These classes are available on a rotating schedule throughout the community.

Expecting parents are also invited to tour the birthing facilities at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston. This is a great way to see what birthing options are available locally.

Every year, over 200 babies are born at Mile Bluff Medical Center. New moms deliver in birthing suites that are designed for labor, delivery, recovery and post-birth care. The home-like setting allows mother and family to participate in the birth with the assurance that the state-of-the-art equipment is being used for a safe delivery.
At Mile Bluff, the Obstetrics Team strongly encourages Skin-to-Skin Contact
during the first hour following baby's arrival. The team will do everything it can to honor, cherish and protect this special time for new families.

After leaving the hospital, new parents are always welcome to call for advice 24-hours a day.
Mile Bluff also offers classes to parents after their baby has arrived. The Hand-in-Hand parenting program is designed to help provide parents with answers for dealing with some of the most common situations that arise during a child's first 12 months of life.
