Expecting and new parents are invited to attend “Breastfeeding 101” on Thursday, August 12 from 4:30-5:30 pm at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston. This free class will be lead by Mile Bluff’s International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Emily Walden, CNM.
It is important for parents to remember that even though breastfeeding is ‘natural,’ it still requires the learning of skills. Using her knowledge, training, and expertise, Emily will help parents find the support and information they need for a successful, well-rounded approach to breastfeeding.
During this free class, Emily will cover topics like:
- Benefits of breastfeeding
- Understand milk supply
- Techniques for nursing success
- Support and resources for mom
- What to expect when breastfeeding
Join Emily on Thursday, August 12. All attendees will have a chance to win a door prize. A support person is welcome to attend, however, seating is limited and registration is required. To register, call 608-847-9727 or visit the calendar of events.
