Mile Bluff welcomes Dr. Damian Hilbert to the team!

Mile Bluff Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Damian Hilbert to the podiatry (foot care) team.

As a foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Hilbert provides a wide range of surgical and non-surgical care. Whether treating ingrown toenails and bunions, or sports injuries and fractures, Dr. Hilbert appreciates that podiatry gives him a variety of conditions to treat. “What’s great about podiatry is that even though it’s a specialized field, it has a wide scope of practice; ranging from preventative diabetic foot care to reconstructive surgery,” said Dr. Hilbert.

Knowing that every patient has different physical abilities and expectations for recovery, Dr. Hilbert creates treatment plans to meet those needs. “While there are common foot and ankle concerns, no two patients are the same. Because of this, I tailor treatment plans based on each patient’s goals and expectations,” explained Dr. Hilbert. “My care philosophy is to fully educate patients on their condition and options. I feel the more aware patients are of their condition, the more successful the outcome will be.”

Every patient has a different recovery goal; for some it’s being able to keep up with the kids, others is returning to work or training for a marathon. Regardless of the ultimate goal, Dr. Hilbert enjoys helping patients reach those milestones. “It’s fulfilling to see the improvement patients can have, sometimes even after the first visit,” said Dr. Hilbert. “I like to see them return to what they love to do. For me, the best day of work would be a patient telling me I truly changed their life for the better.”
