Mile Bluff CEO named to Becker's list of 'CEOs to Know'

Mile Bluff Medical Center President and CEO Dara Bartels has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2024 list of 160 Community Hospital CEOs to Know.

In a brief biographical sketch published as part of the list, Becker’s wrote:

As CEO, Ms. Bartels drives organizational success by aligning operational and financial goals, streamlining processes, and fostering a core value system that promotes healthy dialogue and accountability. With extensive experience in healthcare finance and leadership, she successfully led Mile Bluff through the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and initiated innovative projects like the AI-powered Search and Summarization tool within their EHR. Under her leadership, Mile Bluff was named a Leapfrog "A" Hospital for 2022. Prior to becoming CEO, Ms. Bartels served as CFO at Mile Bluff and held various leadership roles at  La Crosse, Wis.-based Gundersen Health System and West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health.
