For more than a century, Mile Bluff Medical Center has been the local, independent healthcare partner people throughout Juneau County and the surrounding area have counted on. With a community-first approach to healthcare, Mile Bluff has been elevating the care available throughout the organization to further impact the health and well-being of patients.

To continue meeting the current and future healthcare needs of the community, Mile Bluff is undertaking a $17 million two-phased construction project to transform the former Shopko building on Gateway Avenue and remodel the Emergency Department at the main hospital campus in Mauston.

Phase Two

A dedicated space for emergency care

Currently, Mile Bluff’s emergency and urgent care departments share a space at the main hospital campus. As the need for emergency services continues to grow, and patients request more convenience from urgent care, we are eager to give each service area its own space.

Once urgent care services move to the Gateway Center, remodeling will begin in the Emergency Department. A new floor plan for the Emergency Department will provide more space for patients, a more efficient set-up for staff, and increased security and comfort for all.
