Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Shoults attended medical school in Rockford, Illinois, where he discovered his passion for emergency medicine. He enjoys the dynamic nature of the field, as it allows him to apply a broad range of knowledge from multiple specialties to address immediate patient needs.
Dr. Shoults was drawn to Mile Bluff for its close-knit community and strong family atmosphere. He values getting to know his patients personally and collaborating with other providers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. His approach to patient care is grounded in treating people like family—ensuring that every patient feels heard and understood during their visit to the emergency department.
