About Christopher
Dr. Christopher Laylan is a dedicated hospitalist and family medicine physician at Mile Bluff Medical Center. With a strong foundation in both family medicine and hospital care, he is committed to helping patients achieve better health and live fuller lives. Dr. Laylan grew up in Tomah, Wisconsin, and returned to his hometown after completing his medical education at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and his residency in La Crosse.
Dr. Laylan's passion for medicine stems from his own childhood experiences with health issues, which inspired him to become a physician. He believes in a patient-centered, shared decision-making approach to care, where he listens to patients, offers professional guidance, and works together with them to create a plan that best fits their needs and goals. He specializes in chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, and mental health concerns such as chronic depression and anxiety.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Laylan enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children. He also finds fulfillment in hobby farming, where he cares for sheep and llamas, and enjoys various outdoor activities. Dr. Laylan is excited to be part of the Mile Bluff team, offering high-quality care in a rural setting and making a positive impact on his patients' health and well-being.
