James Lierman, FNP
About James
Growing up in Mauston, James always valued the exceptional care he received at Mile Bluff and is proud to now be a provider in the community that supported him as a child. With a strong rapport built through years of service and community involvement, he is dedicated to giving back and providing trusted care to his neighbors.
James brings a unique perspective to his work, having gained education and experience in the military as well as working in various nursing roles across Mile Bluff and other healthcare facilities. He emphasizes the importance of lifestyle modifications and believes in educating his patients on healthier habits—such as exercise, diet, and movement—rather than simply relying on medications. He often tells his patients, "Movement is medicine," encouraging them to stay active to manage conditions like hypertension and high cholesterol.
When he’s not caring for his patients, James enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children, including side-by-side rides, hunting, and fishing. He’s always ready for an ice fishing trip when the weather allows!
With a commitment to personalized care and a focus on wellness, James is honored to be part of the Mile Bluff team and looks forward to continuing his work with the Mauston community.
