Your Hospital Care Team

In Mile Bluff's Acute Care Department, the inpatient care team is led by hospitalists, who collaborate with:

  • Primary care providers
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists
  • Physical and occupational therapists
  • Dietitians
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Other support staff members and medical specialists

During an inpatient stay, laboratory services are available to patients 24 hours a day. Nutritional services are also provided by the Food & Nutrition Department. Registered dietitian nutritionists provide medical nutrition therapy to inpatients. Patients can choose from a number of meal options that fit within their prescribed diet, either from the room service menu or the available main entrée options.

Pharmacy services are also available to inpatients. Pharmacists and technicians prepare and dispense medications for patient treatment, monitor patient medication regimens for interactions, incompatibilities, dosage and accuracy. Pharmacy staff members work closely with the rest of the hospital care team to ensure that the best pharmaceutical care is provided to each patient.
